Chevin Country Park Hotel

Making the most of a unique location

The Chevin Country Park Hotel is situated in a greenbelt location among dense woodland planting and overlooking a large natural lake. Our mission was to improve and complement the hotel’s facilities by extending the existing building.

The expanded bar and restaurant enable guests to connect with their stunning surroundings.

The works include an extended reception, bar and restaurant areas and a new first-floor sun terrace. The leisure suite has also been enlarged to include a new gym, treatment rooms, hot tub and upgraded changing facilities.

Beyond the core hotel project, we have secured planning permission for 21 timber lodges and a new 150-person function suite.

The enhanced reception area provides an entry focal point that the hotel previously lacked. The expanded bar and restaurant enable guests to connect with their stunning surroundings, both visually and physically. This was achieved through the inventive use of glazing and external timber decks, one of which appears to float magically over the lake.

The new additions are both sensitive to the original hotel design and reflect the truly remarkable natural environment in which they sit. Due to the sensitive nature of the site, extensive negotiations with the local authority were an essential part of our role.

Construction was planned in such a way as to enable the hotel to remain open to guests and accommodate all planned functions.
