Rathbones Bakery, Wakefield

On the 3rd July 2016, disaster struck when part of the original Rathbones Bakery was raised to the ground by a devastating fire.

Watson Batty Architects were subsequently involved in raising the building from the ashes, not only to deliver a new 70,000 sq.ft bakery supplying the ever increasing demands of their retail customers, but also temporary works to maintain production.

Their knowledge of food manufacturing and fast track construction techniques has been fundamental to the success of this project.
