We worked in partnership with Caddick Construction and Together Housing to deliver this £11.5m development of 19 two-bed, 70 three-bed, and 4 four-bed high quality affordable homes. We collaborated with the wider team to resolve and mitigate difficult site constraints including steep, tree-lined embankments, water courses, and noisy, industrial buildings. We agreed with the civil engineer to relocate a surface water infiltration basin within the site’s POS.
This project is the first to use Caddick’s house type range, which we developed using Revit in conjunction with the structural engineer. Different façade treatments and internal layouts can be selected to suit individual sites, client preferences, and local requirements. We used a combination of presentation tools, such as SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, and 3D rendering, to help the local authority and end-users interpret the proposals, which successfully garnered public support for the planning application.
