Richard Merrills and David Whalley from our Living sector recently gave a presentation to WDH as part of their internal Winter Learning Programme on the impacts of current/emerging regulatory considerations on housing design. The session, which took place at their head office in Castleford, was a great opportunity for us to go through the many, often conflicting, requirements that need to be balanced when pulling a scheme together.
Topics briefly touched upon included the Future Homes Standard, Biodiversity Net Gain, and the Building Safety Act among others, any one of which could have easily been an hour-long presentation on their own! We received great feedback from the development team who attended, and we would like to express our thanks at being given the opportunity to present and meet everyone.
