In marking this milestone, the team went out for a well-deserved celebratory lunch and catch-up. Regional Directors Richard Crowson and Rima Yousif started the studio back in 2009 and now deliver a variety of significant regional and national projects including in Education and Sport and Leisure. They have built an excellent close-knit team that mixes architectural flair with a solid technical background. They were joined by Managing Director Peter White who said: “It’s great to see the progress being made by our colleagues in the Loughborough studio; with both their specialist experience with Modular Construction and the Sport and Leisure sector, and extending our regional coverage to the Midlands and further afield, the team as a whole continue to be a key part of making Watson Batty Architects the success that it is today. The studio continues to work closely with key clients Alliance Leisure, Parkwood Leisure, Tilbury Douglas and Algeco UK, and is closely involved with RIBA East Midlands with mentoring and academia at Loughborough University and De Montfort University, Leicester.
