The Food manufacturing sector is one of our strongest specialisms, with a detailed understanding of the UK’s largest food manufacturer’s requirements.
We designed the original Morrisons Farmers Boy, Greenside chilled fresh food production facility on their Bradford site in 1996. Since then, we have assisted with its incredible expansion via extensions and internal alterations, so it is now the UK’s largest fresh chilled food manufacturing site. It covers an impressive 400,000 sq. ft and employs 1,400 staff, operating 24 hours a day.
Most recently, we designed and delivered a brand new stand-alone reception building at the forefront of the site, which also provides a New Product Development (NPD) kitchen and customer-facing Conference room and Demonstration space. The brief from the outset was all about creating a welcoming and light-filled space to showcase new products for visiting buyers and suppliers. To that end, we proposed a series of glazed screens linking together the main conference room, demonstration space and NPD kitchen; leading visitors on a journey from arrival and initial meeting, through to sampling new products whilst being able to see and understand the processes of how they are made.
