Gascoigne House receives national award recognition

It was a brilliant start to the year to learn that Gascoigne House has won the Best Purpose Built Accommodation category at the LABC Grand Finals.

Gascoigne House is an Extra Care home forming the centrepiece of our £40m Throstle Rec scheme in Middleton; a major piece of residential regeneration for Leeds City Council with Wates Group, which has had an overwhelmingly positive impact on the local community.

Residential Director, Richard Merrills, said: “We are overwhelmed by the recognition this scheme has received, scooping several awards in 2024 including LABC regional winner; but to be a National Winner is a fantastic achievement.
