“I never stop learning.”
I joined Watson Batty in 2011.
Even after thirty-five years as an architectural technician working in every sector, I find this profession continues to offer new challenges and endless variety. I’ve enjoyed technical drawing and art for most of my life, and I love how the subjective nature of design allows everyone to express a different view.
I think climate change and improving the infrastructure that serves our growing population is an important focus. We must keep abreast of changes to regulations and new construction processes.
The best part of a project is the end! By that I mean celebrating its successful completion with colleagues in the construction team. There is a wonderful sense of personal achievement, but also the hope that what we have created will have a positive effect on the everyday life of others.
