“I enjoy every stage in the process of planning and designing, but particularly relish client engagement.”

I joined Watson Batty in April 2024.

I am an architect working in the education and leisure sectors, expanding on my diverse grounding in the delivery of mixed-use, residential, and commercial buildings. The supportive working environment within our practice enables me to apply fresh ideas and expertise across different sectors.

Following study at Newcastle and Leeds Beckett universities, I began my architectural career renovating houses. This experience taught me lessons of immense value, not least the importance of considering tiny details. I even tackled the refurbishment of my first home.

We visited historical buildings as a family growing up, so I quickly began to appreciate that art and design is integral to crafting beautiful and enduring pieces of architecture that people love. An architect’s purpose is to solve problems in a clever way, balancing material efficiency and aesthetics with the functionality of space.
