After nearly a year in the planning process, we have achieved approval for a major affordable housing scheme at Hough Top in Pudsey.
The scheme comprises 55 houses and 27 apartments, a total of 82 new residential units, and all 100% #affordable. The houses will be two-storey brick-built in a mix of 2,3 and 4 bed houses with car parking and private gardens together with an attractive contemporary 3-storey block containing a mix of 1 and 2 bed apartments, with outdoor amenity space, parking and cycle store.
Situated on the elevated site at Hough Top, the apartments will also have spectacular views over the edge of Pudsey to the southwest. Leeds City Council have pushed to create a quality affordable development on this site which is reflected in the housing design.
Sustainability has been a major driver, such that each unit will be provided with an Air-Source Heat pump instead of a conventional gas boiler saving the community on energy bills and carbon.
We look forward to following the construction of this site throughout the next year with Willmott Dixon Residential, as well as the design team of Roscoe Civil and Structural, Kaizen Consulting Engineers, Smeeden Foreman, EcoNorth, and OFR Consultants
