We’re delighted that our scheme at Throstle Rec, Middleton in Leeds, scooped the Affordable and Social Housing Development Award at the inaugural Insider Media Yorkshire Placemaking Awards!
This is one of the largest projects carried out through Leeds City Council‘s Housing Growth Programme, central to the regeneration of Middleton’s former recreation ground. In total, the scheme delivers a much-needed 176 new homes, 100 general needs houses, 16 accessible bungalows, and 60 extra care apartments.
The judging panel’s commendations pointed out that a community had been created through mixed-tenure and landscaping, and residents can meet and socialise with their neighbours in an exciting urban environment.
