“Always evolving, architecture is never static. Every day presents fresh challenges.”

“I came to the Practice fresh out of University and threw myself into every aspect of the work. From the purely creative expression of the concept sketch to the discipline of generating a fully detailed construction package, I was happy. Consequently, I’ve been involved in dozens of projects in every sector that the Practice covers. I’m currently focusing on our Royal Mail projects, and controlling their national design standards is a responsibility I cherish.

Within the internal running of the Practice, training is my vocation. In an ever-changing industry, keeping on top of continuing professional development is vital. Specifically, I ensure the team is up to speed with new ideas and technologies in architecture, as well as all the mandatory requirements of Health and Safety.

Architecture has to be one of the most challenging and enjoyable jobs. It’s a profession in which you get to solve real-life problems. However, I once built the Houses of Parliament in Lego, which you certainly couldn’t call a real-life problem, but, if nothing else, it demonstrates an inexhaustible passion for my craft.”
