Watson Batty Architects, working alongside Wates Living Space Homes have been successful in their bid to deliver 500 new-build dwellings as part of Calderdale Council’s North Halifax Transformation Project. Our involvement in the bid process included the design and presentation of seven separate development sites in the Illingworth, Mixenden and Ovenden areas. The successful scheme proposals will see high quality homes for sale and for rent alongside a large Extra Care facility, Independent Living Bungalows and a selection of apartment units specifically for people with learning difficulties. This mixed tenure scheme will be delivered alongside Wates Living Space Homes and Pennine Housing 2000 (part of the Together Housing Group).
“We are delighted to have been part of a winning team for such an exciting and important regeneration project” commented director Richard Merrills at Watson Batty Architects “Beyond our excitement for the project we are also really pleased to continue our successful and longstanding working relationship with Wates Living Space Homes and Pennine Housing 2000”
Work will begin designing the developments on the sites with planning submissions being lodged during the course of 2016.
