Falcon Park, Settle – Phase 1

Quality resides in rural Yorkshire

Falcon Park is a new development of high-quality family dwellings in the North Yorkshire town of Settle, boasting fantastic views over the Yorkshire Dales.

This scheme, accessed off Ingfield Lane, is the initial phase of what we envisage will be a larger mixed use/mixed tenure regeneration project, that will help Craven Council deliver it’s housing needs targets.

A new development of high-quality family dwellings.

The scheme consists of 37 two, three and four-bedroom family houses.  Working closely with the Client and Planning Consultant full planning approval was achieved on this sensitive site.

The scheme offers a choice of quality homes at a range of values and tenures, in line with the Local Authority Affordable Housing policy.  This is an issue to rural settings such as Settle and we achieve a 40% Affordable housing provision, which has been taken on by Yorkshire Housing Group.

Our designs respect the existing style, scale and character of the immediate context, giving careful consideration to the Grade II listed Falcon Manor Hotel facility to the west of our site, whilst also giving the new development an identity within this part of Settle.

The Public Open Space Play Area was moved closer to the site entrance to make it more accessible to all locals rather than being perceived to be just for the residents of the new build scheme, also improving the gateway aspect of the site.
